Outback Red Stain Wash is an environmentally sustainable non-dangerous goods product. It’s formulated with the end-user and the environment in mind. You might need to scrub a little harder for your initial wash, but you will do so in a safe environment.

Product Instructions

If your car/ truck has previously been acid washed or cut and polished, the red stain will be harder to remove. It may require additional effort and a different application method. When cutting back the paint using an abrasive cleaning compound/acid, sometimes etching may occur on the surface, and the paintwork ends up with microscopic ridges. The red dirt gets trapped in these ridges, making them harder to remove. We recommend that you try the product on a small section of the surface to be cleaned to see which application method will be required.

Method 1

Everyday Wash

1. Wash off loose dirt on the surface that requires cleaning.

2. Mix Red stain wash to the required dilution rate in a bucket. Use a sponge Microfiber cloth or a white non-scratch scrubber to wash all the surfaces of the vehicle.

3. Rinse off as you go with a hose or small pressure cleaner.

4. If the product dries out as you are cleaning, you will need to add water and agitate the surface to get the best result.

5. Rinse then chamois dry.

Method 2

Industrial Use On Large Surface Areas, Trucks and Earth Moving Equipment

  1. Wash large deposits of dirt off the surface to be cleaned.

  2. Apply Red Stain Wash using a snow foamer, pump up spray bottle or pressure washer with a liquid dispenser attachment.

  3. Agitate the surface.

  4. Leave product on the surface for up to 5 mins.

  5. Apply water, agitate again, and wash off using a hose or pressure washer

Method 3

Dry Method When Red Dirt is Hard To Remove

  1. Wash large deposits of dirt off the item being cleaned.
  2. Apply the red dirt stain wash using a hand spray bottle, directly to the area without wetting the area.
  3. Work on a small area at a time.
  4. Agitate the product using a non-scratch scourer or microfiber cloth in a circular motion, this will take some effort.
  5. When you have completed and are happy with the result you will need to add water, hose or pressure cleaner to the desired area agitating the product with a sponge or microfiber cloth or the white non-scratch scourer.
  6. When moving to the next area to be cleaned the surface needs to be dry to get the best result with this dry method.
  7. If area still dirty you need to carry out the process again.
  8. Recommend giving the vehicle a complete wash after carrying out the Dry method so all the contaminates are removed to avoid streaking.
  9. Chamois Dry.
